Working for iFM Bolton, MTX designed and manufactured the single storey modular facility to house an operating theatre, ancillary areas, 4 bed recovery, consulting rooms, reception, waiting area, toilets and offices. Taking advantage of off-site construction and, to achieve full HTM compliance, the groundwork’s were designed using both pad foundations (to accommodate modules installed with cement particle board flooring), and concrete slab foundation to accept floorless modules within the operating theatre area. The building was installed over a 4 day period in November 2018 and comprises of 27 modules providing 900sqm of space. The new facility is connected to the existing hospital via linkway’s and corridors.
Knowing the potential difficulties we would encounter on a Healthcare modular scheme, we were able to use our knowledge and expertise to deliver exceptional service without compromising budgets or quality. The products provided are all Health Technical Memorandum (HTM) compliant and will withstand the challenges of this high use environment whilst remaining practical and aesthetically pleasing.
Our Cosmopolitan duct panel system is perfect for a healthcare environment as the postformed edges mean that there are fewer joints in the panels allowing them to be cleaned more effectively, which improves infection control and reduces the risk of bacterial ingress.
