Available in Industria and Industria Plus versions as well as the usual full-height and Mezzo (half-height) variants, the Industria duct panel system is the no-frills work horse of the range.

Both versions are suitable for moderate to high traffic applications although Industria Plus, being manufactured from High-Pressure laminate, is more impact and scratch resistant than the standard Industria which is manufactured from MFC. Both are available as either pre-plumbed units complete with sanitaryware or as a simple panel system to be configured by others.

Applications

Industria, manufactured from MFC is ideal for use in commercial buildings and other back-of-house situations where there are low instances of impact and damage possibility. For higher traffic and impact situations such as colleges, universities or commercial front-of house applications, Industria Plus with its High-Pressure laminate face is preferred. Both versions come equiped with impact resistant 2mm ABS edges to match or contrast and a wide range of available plain colours, patterns and woodgrain decors to choose from.

Manufacture

Industria is manufactured from 18mm Melamine Faced Chipboard whilst Industria Plus panels utilise High-Pressure laminate on an 18mm MR core. Both versions are edged in a 2mm ABS edging and can be made to most normal duct widths and heights and are usually supplied so they butt together on horizontal joints with a matching or contrasting shadowgap detail showing on the vertical section between panels sets. The panels are supplied with concealed fixing clips which allow for access to services behind the duct sets. The associated shadowgap framework is manufactured from High-Pressure laminate on a 36mm MR core to provide ultimate flexibility for system widths and splits.

Dimensions

Manufactured in a variety of panel widths to cover any wall length, the Industria and Industria Plus systems can accommodate all variations of individual panel widths and splits to achieve the configurations you require. Panel splits for WC’s, Urinals, Wash Hand Basins, etc., will vary from project to project and a range of typical splits for any given panel type are available to download from our technical section.

Deyes High School

We were recently appointed to manufacture and install a range of products at Deyes High School in Liverpool, on behalf of Kier Construction.

The wider project involved the demolition of existing buildings on the 13-acre site (apart from the 300-student sixth form), making way for a new 110,000 sq ft facility, which includes indoor and outdoor sports facilities and a part-covered, six-court multi-use games area.

Sefton Council approved the project as part of the government’s £2 billion School Rebuilding Programme. Under the terms, the existing school was to remain in use until the replacement teaching facilities were complete.

Serving the community of Maghull and the surrounding areas, Deyes High School is an oversubscribed school, because it’s the highest-achieving school in the area, providing outstanding levels of teaching and offering exceptional opportunities for all its students.

The modern facility for 1,200 pupils will be net zero carbon once in operation.

A3 New Bailey

Dubbed ‘the hanging gardens of Salford’ due to the 4,000 square metres of vertical foliage, A3 New Bailey is an office development located in Salford.

In addition to its living walls, the building provides 115,000 square feet of office space and ground-floor retail units. The final build runs exclusively on renewable energy and includes Passivhaus-standard insulation.

It forms part of a £1bn Salford Central masterplan, delivered by The English Cities Fund (ECF), a joint venture between Morgan Sindall’s development arm Muse, Legal & General and Homes England, in partnership with Salford City Council.

The tower has also been selected as a London Energy Transformation Initiative pioneer – a network aimed at meeting zero-carbon goals in the construction industry.

The 12 storey, 110,000ft2 office building increases local biodiversity and aims to be as sustainable and energy and carbon-efficient as possible

Four New Bailey

Four New Bailey is a 175,000 sq ft office building located at the iconic English Cities Fund’s Salford scheme.

Designed by Make Architects, Four New Bailey is the fourth office to come forward at the consortium’s New Bailey scheme, part of the wider £1bn Salford Central masterplan.

English Cities Fund has already delivered One, Two and Three New Bailey, with plans for a fifth new-build office development already approved by Salford City Council.

The building’s striking design is unlike any other in the city, adding to New Bailey’s eclectic mix of unique and exciting commercial developments.

Hallam Union Building of Sheffield (HUBS)

Stunning by design

The amazing silver drums of the Hallam Union Building of Sheffield (HUBS) are a unique and unrivalled welfare and social facility for 28,000 students at the University and will also be open to the public. HUBS houses the student advice centre and volunteering team, a shop, social space and activities area, as well as three multi-functional entertainment rooms and a stylish cafe/bar.

A high traffic, high usage building catering for the needs of demanding students, university staff and members of the public, requires a tough solution that will stand up to the challenge and to cap it all the rooms were circular!!
