Hilltop School in Maltby has long worked with outdated facilities and overcrowded classrooms. The project will provide all new, purpose-built environments that support learner development, including classrooms, therapy areas, sensory provision, improved washrooms, safer circulation routes and enhanced outdoor spaces for pupils and staff.
The new spaces will be designed to meet the complex needs of roughly 140 pupils, who require specialised sensory environments, accessible spaces, and tailored support for learning.
Henry Boot Construction is acting as principal contractor, on behalf of Nexus Multi Academy Trust, with Inscape and more than 50 other contractors donating their products, services and expertise free of charge. Work is ongoing and expected to complete in September 2026.
Thanks to our previous work with Henry Boot, Inscape was happy to supply and install custom washroom cubicles and IPS duct systems free of charge, providing pupils with safe, comfortable facilities and enabling staff to deliver essential care in spaces designed for SEND needs.
Our contribution was supported by our supply chain partners – Pfleiderer UK donated Pfleiderer Compact Grade and High-Pressure Laminate in conjunction with Plastics & Veneers, while the Bignall Group donated Satin Anodised Aluminium cubicle fittings, ensuring long-term reliability and safety.
Paul Partington, business development director of Inscape, said: “Being involved in the Great Yorkshire Build has been incredibly meaningful to all of us here at Inscape. It’s rewarding to contribute to a scheme that is delivering real social value and making a genuine difference to the children, staff and families at Hilltop School.
“The support of our partners at Plastics & Veneers and Bignall Group reflects the same spirit of generosity and we could not be more grateful to them. This collective effort shows what happens when charitable funding, industry expertise and a shared sense of responsibility unite, creating positive change that will support the school community for generations.
