Named after Emily Siddon, a pioneering figure in healthcare, the £60m facility brings together healthcare services, specialist teaching spaces, and business innovation.
The building is home to the UK’s first Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) located on a university campus, operated by Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. It provides patients with access to MRI and CT scanning services while supporting healthcare education through specialist teaching facilities for students.
In addition, the building includes a Health and Wellbeing Innovation Centre, providing support and workspace for local entrepreneurs and start-up businesses, backed by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority.
