Inscapes Pro-Line PPD (Pre-Plumbed Ducts) are delivered assembled and factory pressure tested ready to be installed by our in-house installation teams.

The Pro-Line PPD system is designed to take advantage of modularisation and off-site manufacture which deliver the benefits of reduced lead times, improved cost control, a certificate of testing and compliance, enhanced infection control and reduced damages and accidents on site due to reduced handling.

Applications

Pro-Line PPD can be used on every project which has sanitaryware, brassware or stainless steel sink and trough units. Educational and commercial projects benefit from reduced lead-times and reduced trades on site whilst improving product and installation quality via factory produced, pressure tested units.

Healthcare projects achieve the benefits noted above but gain additional benefits because of the complexity of the specifications in healthcare. Design issues can be dealt with in factory rather than site conditions, pressure testing in production improves the quality of the connections, reduces leaks during commissioning and avoids contamination on site due to site conditions. All that is required for all types of project is the final connection to the mains feeds.

Manufacture

The duct panels of the Pro-Line PPD system are manufactured as per the manufacturing details of the specific range chosen. Additionally the duct panels are then CNC machined to accept appropriate sanitaryware, factory mounted and aligned on a 25mm MR MDF speed frame and then have sanitaryware, brassware, isolation valves and lagging fitted as required by the specification.

Finally the finshed units are pressure tested, certificated, labelled and packaged ready for the agreed delivery date. All pallets used for transport are re-useable and all plastic packaging used for protection is returned to base, baled and recycled into new packaging.

Dimensions

The Pro-Line PPD treatment can be applied to any of our existing duct systems and is equally flexible in terms of panels widths, heights. Panel splits are largely determined by the sanitaryware, stainless steel units and brassware that will be attached to the panels.

Working closely with client, Consort Healthcare, Inscape has created washroom facilities for a new unit at Tameside General Hospital, designed to meet the demands of daily use by many people. The £72million development comprises two new surgical wards, an integrated childrens ward, three day-care centres, three inpatient centres and a new mental health unit for the elderly.
