A brand-new, PFI funded initiative in Wakefield, Pinderfields Hospital has set high standards across several areas including patient care, efficiency and hygiene. Inscapes expertise was sought to provide quality washroom environments that could cater for the large volume of patients accommodated by the 633 bed, 82,000m² facility.
In order to eliminate the need for on-site disruption or delay, Inscape’s modular Healthcare CPS system was manufactured, assembled, pre-plumbed and tested at their own dedicated factory, separate to the main hospital construction site. As Healthcare CPS is a pre-framed duct panel system with all required sanitary ware, brassware and connections situated at the back, only final connections were required upon delivery, resulting in significant efficiency and cost saving benefits for the project.
The flexibility of the range available as boxed units, recessed units or full-wall systems, with additional panels available hinged and lockable to further reduce service and maintenance costs means its suitable for varying environments. Whether this encompasses multi-person wards or single rooms, the same consistency of cleanliness and quality applies for everyone from children to elderly patients.
Inscape’s Paul Mills highlighted another reason for the selection of Healthcare CPS:
There are few more demanding environments in terms of washroom traffic than a busy hospital. As well as extreme ease and efficiency of installation, any system selected also has to demonstrate high levels of durability and hard-wearing quality. Healthcare CPS ticks both these boxes
