Inscape was appointed by Bam Construction to install bespoke washroom packages at Plot 9A, First Street, a development of Grade A office space situated at the southern gateway to Manchester.
The 130,900 sq ft workspace establishes a new benchmark for quality and sustainability in the city. It features a flexible amenity space on the ground floor, and nine upper floors of open-plan, adaptable office space.
As the fourth phase of development, Plot 9A introduces innovative design elements such as winter gardens and rooftop terraces.
Now fully let to the Government Property Agency, the building has been designed with sustainability at its core, integrating cutting-edge technology to achieve Net Zero Carbon in operation and boasting an impressive 5.5* NABERS rating – the first building in Manchester city centre to reach this milestone.
It also features one of Manchester’s largest cycle facilities, designed to promote sustainable commuting. It provides storage for 270 cycles, 270 lockers, 27 showers, two drying rooms, and an on-site cycle maintenance area.
We were appointed by BAM Construction to carry out work on the changing facilities, along with 110 individual gender-neutral toilet rooms.
The design features high-level hinged and lockable accessible IPS panelling, ensuring easy maintenance while maintaining a sleek and functional aesthetic.
Each toilet room includes bespoke manufactured vanity units with Silestone tops and integral bins, as well as mirrored wall units equipped with built-in soap and towel dispensers.
Bag hook rails provide added convenience, and each element is clearly marked with identifying signage for ease of use.
