Combining quality and durability to provide washroom environments for new a hospital development in Greater Manchester.
Working closely with client, Consort Healthcare, Inscape has created washroom facilities for a new unit at Tameside General Hospital, designed to meet the demands of daily use by many people. The £72million development comprises two new surgical wards, an integrated childrens ward, three day-care centres, three inpatient centres and a new mental health unit for the elderly.
With modern high footfall hospital environments providing some of the biggest challenges to washroom installation specialists, in terms of the need for speed of construction and durability of product, it was clear a specialist solution was required. Inscape’s Healthcare CPS modular system was selected thanks to various factors including its suitability for areas with heavy traffic and the fact that the units could be manufactured, assembled, pre-plumbed and tested in the factory, requiring only final connections to be made on site at Tameside General.
Paul Mills of Inscape commented on the design and build decisions taken on the project:
˜With any installation, timescales are important, in terms of both financial and logistical resources. With a healthcare project like TGH, those pressures are heightened as the facility youre working on could well be vital for the provision of care and respite for vulnerable people. Thats why Healthcare CPS is such an apt choice, as it combines the attractive design and durability that everyone seeks with the unrivalled efficiency and speed of assembly of a pre-framed duct panel system.”
