Incorporating Eco-friendly initiatives such as a Tetrafluoroethylene roof structure (as used on the Eden Project in Cornwall and Bus Interchanges at Rochdale & Altrincham), which is a light weight, recyclable, very durable yet un-effected by sunlight, pollution or weathering. Solar panels have also been used to reduce the energy consumption of the building.
The new station is staffed and offers a more comfortable and secure passenger experience as well as live bus displays, improved pedestrian links, a covered cycle path and modern landscaping.
Internally the building comprises of accessible toilets with a ‘Changing Places’ toilet baby change facility, disabled access and modern Male & Female and WC’s fitted with modern WC Cubicles, IPS Duct Systems & Vanity Units provided and installed by Inscape Interiors Ltd.
